Taller de escultura Barbara Hepworth

Con todos los grupos de talleres y algunos de CAMP este mes de Enero hemos comenzado a realizar pequeñas piezas de barro.
Desde el Taller de ArTe hemos querido recordar y homenajear a la escultora inglesa Barbara Hepworth, que vivió durante gran parte del siglo XX.
Nos han interesado especialmente recrear en el taller como tema sus formas orgánicas, suaves y horadadas. Formas muy próximas a la NAturaleza, que hemos buscado en nuestro taller, como si se trataran de piedras de río o pequeñas ramas abandonadas.

Aquí tenemos un avance de las piezas que, una vez cocidas, esmaltaremos de divertidos colores.

SCULPTURE WORKSHOP ON BARBARA HEPWORTH

With all workshop groups and some of the CAMP ones we started this January to make small pieces of clay. From the Art Studio we wanted to remember and pay tribute to the British sculptor Barbara Hepworth, who lived for much of the Twentieth Century. We have been especially interested in recreating as a workshop theme her organic, soft, perforated shapes. Forms very close to nature, that we've searched in our workshop, as if they were small river rocks or abandoned branches.

Here is a preview of the pieces that, once cooked, we'll glaze with fun colors.
